Our shops are in Lourdes, a step from the Grotto of Massabielle. Each day our team goes there to collect the water at the Sanctuary, where it is given freely, and fill the bottles by hand. Your payment covers the container, the filling and the shipping, not the water itself.

Why glass

Glass sets this bottle apart from the plastic containers meant for carrying or handing out. It does not warp, does not take on a smell, and stands on an altar, a shelf or a prayer corner as an object in its own right.

The 90 ml size

Ninety millilitres is a volume for personal, lasting use: a few drops at prayer, a sign of the cross, an intention entrusted. For wider family use or to bless a home, see the one-litre bottle or the 250 ml bottle.

Is Lourdes water holy water?

No. Lourdes water is not blessed by a priest: it is natural spring water which the faithful associate with grace because of the healings reported since the apparitions, seventy of which the Church has recognised as miraculous. It accompanies prayer without ever taking its place. A priest can bless it if you wish.
